Inside This Project: The Team and Details

Jeff Hinz, the Very First (Participant #1)

As the first participant to systematically implement and document his use of Cordyceps for CLL, Jeff's journey provided the foundational data for this project. He generously shared his story and detailed process, which you can explore through his original blog post and video.

Read his Blog Post:  A Step-by-step Guide to His Cordyceps Protocol.

Watch his Video: Cordy, an ai film. Based on a true story by jeffhinz.

Paul Morrison (Participant #2): The Standardized Brewing Protocol

Paul developed and documented the standardized brewing process that has become the cornerstone of this project. His detailed, step-by-step guide ensures that all participants can create a consistent and effective preparation, allowing for more reliable data collection.

Glenn Sabin: Strategic Advisor & Project Liaison

Glenn has been a pivotal force in advancing the Cordyceps and CLL discovery project. Serving as the key liaison, he bridges the gap between patient-led initiatives and the formal medical community.

His key contributions include:

Connecting Key Stakeholders: He facilitates communication between the patient advocate leadership team (Paul & Nancy), the CLL Society, and leading academics interested in formalizing the research.

Providing Strategic Guidance: His expertise and support have been instrumental at every stage of the project's development.

Championing Patient-Led Research: As the author of the acclaimed book 'n of 1' , Glenn is a prominent voice for empowered patients taking an active role in their own health outcomes.

Nancy Kula: Project Coordinator & Data Manager

Nancy is the operational heart of the Cordyceps and CLL project, managing the key infrastructure that makes this patient-led project possible. Inspired to act as an advocate for her husband (Participant #6), she now applies her extensive professional background to support the entire project community.

With a 40-year career as a nationally recognized art and media educator, Nancy brings a unique expertise in visual communication to the project. This allows her to translate complex medical data into the clear, insightful, (and colorful!) personalized reports that each participant receives.

Her key contributions include:

Data Management & Visualization: She manages the data for over 50 (and growing) participants, using her design skills to create meaningful progress reports.

Web Development & Design: Drawing on her experience creating multiple websites, she designed, built, and now maintains this central resource hub for the community.

Participant Coordination: As a primary point of contact, she guides participants through the data submission process, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
