We are science driven

Medical lab report showing blood counts and cell abnormalities over multiple dates.

Driven by the Data

A Cordyceps and CLL working group—a collaboration of the CLL Society, NIH, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mayo Clinic, Cancer Commons, the University of Nottingham (UK), and Dentali Botanical Sciences—received and reviewed selected longitudinal data.

Below you will discover a considerable amount of Cordyceps resources, and your options to participate in this project through sharing your data with the Anticancer Thrivers Facebook group volunteer team.

Related Opportunity: NIH Natural History Study

Participants using Cordyceps may also be eligible to join the NIH’s Natural History Study of MBL, CLL, and SLL, This allows researchers at the NIH to follow your progress. Note: The NIH provides financial coverage for travel expenses related to participation in their study.

CLL Society

The CLL Society a leading resource for the entire CLL community, including patients, families, and caregivers. The CLL Society is  The Society actively supports further research into the role of Cordyceps and CLL.  Furthermore, the members of the  CLL Society Medical Advisory Board are aware of the growing interest in Cordyceps and encourage patients to have an open discussion about the potential benefits and risks with their healthcare providers

Participate in the NIH Natural History Study for CLL/SLL

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) conducts a long-standing Natural History Trial for patients with CLL / SLL at its campus in Bethesda, MD. This important research is led by principal investigator Dr. Sun, in collaboration with Drs. Wiestner and Pleyer .

Who is eligible?

Participation is open to all eligible patients, regardless of whether they are using Cordyceps. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to science and have your condition monitored by leading experts at the NIH.

Travel Costs Covered:

The NIH provides reimbursement for travel expenses within the United States for all study participants.

Dana Farber Cancer Institute

Dr. Matt Davids at Dana Farber in Boston, MA is interested in studying CLL cell lines.

Mayo Clinic

Dr. Neil Kay, Professor of Medicine and Dr. Lindsey E. Roeker with Wieguo Han, Ph.D., at  Mayo Clinic, have displayed interest in the previously submitted data.

Cancer Commons

Dr. DeLeys Brandman discussed their ability to add high-quality Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) and possibly lab data to a patient registry.

Cancer Commons distinguishes itself as a non-profit network focused on optimizing patient outcomes and fostering collective learning through a continuous learning health system.

The University of Nottingham, UK

Cornelia de Moor, Ph.D.  at The University of Nottingham, UK.  has been studying Cordyceps for years. Her current work is on the role of mRNA in gene expression and the therapeutic potential of the polyadenylation inhibitor cordycepin, which is isolated from the caterpillar fungus Cordyceps militaris.

Dentali Botanical Sciences

Steven Dentali, PhD, is a Botanical Science professional with over 30 years post-graduate experience working in the herbal/botanical supplement industry, and as a volunteer to several botanical standard setting organizations.
